November, 2011

ACBI unveiled its newly revamped ACBI website to clients allowsing them to interact with ACBI producers and account executives in a new 24/7 site that is "user friendly" and provides clients and prospects the means to go online to print auto identification cards, report claims, check their policies, review prior and upcoming payments, and use our "chat" line to ask questions from their computer or phone. Shortly, these options will be available to clients from their mobile device as well.

October, 2011

John Czel, Commercial Small Business, represented ACBI at the Connecticut Real Estate Investors annual convention in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. ACBI hosted a booth at the convention held on October 15 and 16 at the Rocky Hill Marriot Hotel and John awarded 2 lucky winners tickets to the UConn-Arkansas basketball game at the XL Center in February.

15 ACBI employees participated in the Bigelow Tea Challenge walkathon hosted by Bigelow Tea and the Wakeman's Boys and Girls Club in Southport, Connecticut. This is the second year ACBI has participated and sponsored this wonderful event that raises and distributes money to non profits throughout Connecticut.

Peter J. Page, Vice President of ACBI Commercial Lines, was a volunteer once again for the St. Vincent Hospital's Swim Across the Sound event to raise awareness and money in the ever challenging effort to erase cancer from our lives. Peter has participated (no he does not swim across the Long Island Sound) as a volunteer and committee person in this wonderful event for many years and we at ACBI are very proud of his long standing efforts for this great cause.

January, 2011

Community Brokers, Inc. (ACBI) was named a Commercial Lines Cornerstone Agent by the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies. ACBI is very proud to be so named signifying we are one of only 180 agents countrywide from Chubb's 4,000 agents to receive this prestigious designation. The cornerstone designation is given to those select Chubb agents who consistently produce business that is both profitable and of a high calliber. We are very pleased to have received this award.

September, 2010

Sean Rabinowitz, Vice President of ACBI Benefits successfully completed the "Young Leadership Program" sponsored by the Norwalk Chamber of Commerce. This 8 week program is for young professionals who wish to become integral parts of the greater Norwalk business community and is taught by both Chamber officials and local business leaders.

July, 2010

Melissa Dittrich has joined ACBI as Senior Account Executive in its ACBI Benefits Division. Melissa comes to ACBI after many years of experience at Sun Life Insurance and its large case group benefits department. Melissa joins the ACBI Benefits team headed up by Sean Rabinowitz.

Associated Community Brokers, Inc. (ACBI) Producer John Czel, CPCU, spoke at a Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC) seminar held at Norwalk Community College on March 16, 2010. This 3 part seminar is devoted to those women who wish to start a new Family Daycare Business. John explained the ways insurance may eliminate or greatly reduce the exposures to loss these entrepreneurs will face in creating a new business. ACBI is always pleased when asked by groups to help explain some of the day to day insurance problems business owners face and how best to handle them through insurance.

Associated Community Brokers, Inc. (ACBI) was a proud sponsor of a Gala Fundraiser to benefit the Fairfield Arts Council and Lincoln Center Visual Arts Department on February 26, 2010. More than 150 people attended the event which had to be postponed to Saturday evening due to the snow storm. The Fairfield Arts Council is a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering and supporting the arts and artists in Fairfield. The arts are integral to the cultural well being of the people of Fairfield and ACBI is pleased to be a part of the Fairfield Arts Council’s efforts.

Associated Community Brokers, Inc. (ACBI) is a supporter in 2010 of the Westport Country Playhouse which is in its 80th Anniversary Season. The playhouse is a jewel enriching the lives of Fairfield Country residents with fabulous entertainment each season and in the process transforming lives through the power of the theatre. ACBI is proud to count itself as a friend and supporter of this wonderful organization.

 Associated Community Brokers, Inc. (ACBI) proudly supported Operation Hope of Fairfield in its fund raising efforts during its Golf Tournament held in September, 2009 at the Country Club of Fairfield. Operation Hope helps countless of those less fortunate who need help during difficult times of their lives. Their efforts provide comfort, guidance and assistance allowing them time to get back on their feet. ACBI is pleased to support those efforts.

January, 2010

Associated Community Brokers, Inc. (ACBI),  was named "Commercial Lines Agency of the Year" for 2009 for the second consecutive year by the Connecticut office of Chubb & Sons. This award is given to ACBI for its continued growth and profitability and for the professional service provided to its clients. ACBI has a client retention rate of 99% which is testament to our commitment to client service.
 
John Czel, CPCU, was a principal speaker at CTREIA's quarterly meeting of Apartment Owners in Cromwell, Connecticut. John spoke to the group about the various insurance exposures they face as apartment owners and how best they can reduce their exposures to loss. The meeting was attended by more than 75 members.

John Czel, CPCU, and Carol Rogo, AAI, represented Associated Community Brokers, Inc. (ACBI) at the CTREIA trade show held at the Marriott Hotel in Rocky Hill, Connecticut. ACBI's trade booth was visited by many of the 300 attendees over 2 days.

Associated Community Brokers, Inc. (ACBI) hosted a Fairfield Chamber of Commerce "After Hours" business get together for more than 75 Chamber members. Member enjoyed food and drinks while networking with friends and business partners.

Wilson L. McKane, CPCU, joins Associated Community Brokers, Inc. (ACBI) as Sales Executive. She comes to ACBI from Webster Insurance. Prior to Webster, Wilson worked for many years with her father, Wallace Lineburgh, in the Lineburgh Agency, one of Fairfield's oldest independent agencies. She brings many years of insurance experience and knowledge to ACBI.
